I realise I really like eating ramen(: This was #beef #curry #ramen Japanese style from Monday’s dinner at The Star, Buona Vista. Can’t rmb what the restaurant place is now but it’s the popular ramen one at B1 haha was a little too salty for me but still yummy! Still craving for more jap curry rn… #burpple
Yesterday I was craving for my weekly dose of #tomyam #ramen for #lunch. My stomach was not feeling so good and after eating it, I only felt more queasy. Up until this morning ): oh trust me, every mouth of it was real yummy but this was just a reminder that not every craving needs to be satisfied immediately, aye… 💆😐 #nofilter

I think that being in a relationship shows how complicated human beings are. I think we never realise how lousy communicators we are until we are close to spending the rest of our lives with another human being. When the lines are crossed and communication boundaries are tested, we then realise how amazing it is that we have even come so far.
What Pastor MC said on Sat is true - we are all like PCs, except we’re wired and encoded each individually. We have a different mindset, we read things differently, we express differently. We can read the same passage and understand it and see completely different things. We think we’re saying certain things but the other party doesn’t read that. We think we’re not saying certain things but the other party hears it loud and clear. We say too much and don’t listen enough. We say things too quickly and realise it’s too late, and we never even meant some of those words. Or we dont even realise that what we say sometimes hurts. We hardly realise that it’s often not what we say but how we say it that matters. We never realise how simple things can hurt each other that much…
But… perhaps, that’s the beauty of being close - that we are complicated and have secrets yet still want to be vulnerable with (and only) each other, that we are lousy and sometimes dont know how but we still want to try to be the best we can for each other, that we are willing and we constantly learn to love and be sensitive to each other just so we can see the other smile again. If only we could upgrade our PCs just like that but nope, that’s how we have been designed to be. That’s how we are meant to enjoy the journey together.
I don’t think we’ll ever stop learning.
I think my head hurts now so it’s time to sleep.
